Role Description
This position provides psychiatric care and mental health treatment to patients seen in a Huntsman Mental Health Institute Clinic. This position may be required to:
•Diagnose
•Create treatment plans
•Prescribe psychiatric medications
•Establish medication management treatment plans
•Provide psychotherapy
•Potentially administer medications for patients in an HMHI setting, either in clinic or remotely, within their scope of practice and according to state law
Qualifications
•Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system (to be obtained within 30 days of hire)
•Valid registered license in the state where they intend to practice as an advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse
•Successfully completed ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
•2 years of ambulatory mental health experience (preferred)
Requirements
