Advanced Practice Nurse (PMHNP)

PMHNP - Child/Adolescent experience required | Highland Hospital | Charleston, West Virginia

The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing general medical or psychological care and treatment to patients, under the direction of physician according to scope of practice guidelines. Performs history, physical examinations, and preventive health measures or Initial psychological exams, admissions and discharges on assigned patients; provides consultation and liaison throughout hospital facility; performs daily rounds on patients as directed by supervising physician; and individual, group, and family therapy. Works collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners.

Gathers, develops, and evaluates age-appropriate history and physical (H&P) or psychological patient data in collaboration with patient, family and health care team for physician's use in treating patients according to scope of practice.

Current Nurse Practitioner license required, per state regulations/requirements, may also require a current DEA license.
