Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse job at Ballad Health. Kingsport, TN.

Ballad Health Medical Associates Outpatient Services is currently seeking a Psychiatric Certified Nurse Practitioner to work Full-Time in our Kingsport, Tennessee location. The Nurse Practitioner will cover a range of patient cases, including consulting with new patients, managing medications and providing counseling service to community patients as well as Ballad Health team members and their covered dependents.

The Nurse Practitioner will be expected to work with patients ages five and up, including adults, on a set schedule. This opportunity offers a competitive annual salary with full benefits.

Opportunity Details:

•Practice includes a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, and master’s level therapists.

•Referral hospitals and mental health facilities nearby

•Collaboration with an on-site Board-Certified Psychiatrist

•Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 7 am to 7 pm during weekdays

•No Call

•No Weekends

Qualifications :

•Master’s degree in nursing. Certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by a national certifying agency (i.e., ANCC). Maintains certification through required continuing education and hours of practice according to the requirements of certifying agency. Current or ability to immediately obtain an APRN license in the state of Tennessee. Active DEA license to prescribe controlled substances as per department protocols.t skills
