Valley Healthcare System, Inc., a rapidly growing organization providing comprehensive health services, is seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician or Certified Nurse Practitioner. This role involves delivering compassionate care to patients of all ages, performing exams and procedures, and counseling individuals on their medical needs. The Certified Nurse Practitioner will function collaboratively with physicians to provide primary healthcare, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and managing acute and chronic conditions.
Practice Info
•Provides comprehensive services including medical, dental, outreach, behavioral health, and pharmacy.
•Serves residents from the Chattahoochee Valley region and beyond.
•Certified Nurse Practitioners function in a collaborative relationship with qualified physicians within jointly approved protocols.
•Providers may be required to travel between all VHcS locations to perform services.
•Annual encounter rate must exceed minimum productivity standards.
Responsibilities
•Obtain complete health and psychosocial assessments, including history and physical examination, and record findings.
•Implement treatment regimens for acute and chronically ill patients according to established protocols.
•Order, perform, and interpret routine laboratory tests and X-ray reports.
•Provide assessment, education, and management for individuals/families in family planning, including pelvic, vaginal, and breast exams, Pap smears, STI testing, and contraceptive counseling.
•Develop and implement plans for health promotion, health maintenance, disease prevention, and health education.
•Co-manage care for patients with selected health complications in collaboration with physicians.
•Participate in promoting VHcS programs through off-site health screening.
•Educate patients on menstrual health, menopause, and sexual health, and diagnose/treat common gynecological issues.
Compensation
•Salary: $95,234.00 - Commensurate with experience
•$10,000 Sign-On Bonus (Limited Time Offer)

Requirements
•Master of Science Degree in Nursing.
•Successful completion of an advanced nurse practitioner education program accepted by relevant professional associations (American Nurses' Association, NACOG, NAPNAP).
•Holds a certificate as a nurse practitioner in a specialty area.
•Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Georgia and Alabama.
•Minimum of two years of related clinical nursing experience.
•Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute/chronic patient problems.
•High level of analytic ability and attention to detail.
•Substantial interpersonal skills for patient instruction, collaboration, and effective communication.
•Ability to organize, prioritize, work independently, and produce in a timely manner.
•High degree of integrity to maintain patient confidentiality.
