Position: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) ResponsibilitiesNorth Spring Behavioral Healthcare is currently hiring a fulltime Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Hybrid Schedule) to join our Clinical Department!The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides psychiatric, diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders in collaboration with the psychiatrist. The Psychiatric NP will deliver quality medical care and serve actively and constructively as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical team to support the organization and program’s treatment philosophy.Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.Participates as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. Provides clinical services to the facility in coordination with the facility Medical Director.Actively participates in all treatment team meetings.Attends and participates in department and other program or clinical meetings, as needed.Assess, direct, and intervene in crisis situations.Diagnose, prescribe medication, monitor medication side effects and participate in the treatment process of residents in collaboration with the psychiatrist.Provides and supports evidence-based practice within the scope of the hospital’s Strategic vision and policies.Provides on call services based on hospital need and within the parameters of the employment agreement.Participates as needed with the hospitals utilization review processes.LocationBeautiful Leesburg, Virginia, 40 miles Northwest of Washington DC.
