North Spring Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their Clinical Department. This role involves providing psychiatric, diagnostic, and therapeutic care to patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in collaboration with a psychiatrist. The FNP will deliver quality medical care and actively contribute as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical team, supporting the organization's treatment philosophy.

•Multifaceted behavioral healthcare system comprised of three programs to serve children and adolescents with a broad spectrum of psychiatric service needs
•87-bed, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensed, Joint Commission accredited psychiatric residential treatment facility
•Partial Hospitalization Program
•40-bed acute psychiatric hospital
•Located on a 45-acre campus in a rural area on the northern edge of Leesburg, Virginia
•Part of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS)
Responsibilities
•Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
•Participate as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and provide clinical services in coordination with the facility Medical Director
•Actively participate in all treatment team meetings
•Attend and participate in department and other program or clinical meetings, as needed
•Assess, direct, and intervene in crisis situations
•Diagnose, prescribe medication, monitor medication side effects and participate in the treatment process of residents in collaboration with the psychiatrist
•Provide and support evidence-based practice within the scope of the hospital's Strategic vision and policies
•Provide on call services based on hospital need and within the parameters of the employment agreement
Requirements
•Professional experience of at least 2 years
•Graduate of an accredited nursing school; completion of a Family Nurse Practitioner program
•Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the State of Virginia
•Knowledge of appropriate assessment and evaluation tools and tests, diagnoses, & interventions with patients
•Knowledge of milieu management
•Advanced skills in medication management
•Knowledge of acute adolescent and child medical disorders
