Position: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Location: Reidsville NC 27320/remote hybrid position

Job Type: Part Time (8-10 hours per week)

Qualifications/Experience:

Masters of Science in Nursing, with Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from accredited college or university.

Experience (2) years of experience related to the above describe duties working with children/adolescents/families.

Must be licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Document appropriate clinical information in the medical record in a timely manner including but not limited to:

•Provide psychiatric health services, education, counseling and emotional support.

•Electronically prescribe medication prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines.

•Provide patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits and reasonable outcome expectations.

•Document recommendations of services, current medications and discontinued medications with rationale. Indicate diagnosis for which medication is being prescribed and order necessary labs if needed.

•Perform similar or related duties as assigned or required.

•Ensure professional licensure stays current, NC Tracks account is active, and work with credentialing manager to ensure credentialing stays up-to-date.

•Respond to all internal and external emails in timely manner.
