The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric health care services to patients within scope of license, performs mental health examinations, diagnostic testing, assessments and screenings, prescribes medications and instructs patients and family members on psychiatric illnesses and treatment options.
β’Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by state in which employee is practicing
β’Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited nursing organization (e.g. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners β AANP, American Nurses Credentialing Center β ANCC) is preferred
β’Specialty Certification as per client request and or state regulations if applicable
β’One year experience as a PMHNP preferred
β’Three yearsβ experience in mental health field preferred
β’Maintain collaboration agreements, per state requirements
β’Current CPR if applicable
β’TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
β’Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
β’Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
β’Must be at least 18 years of age
