Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Physician Assistant (PA) in the Behavioral Health Service Line Inpatient Unit will augment the psychiatrist's ability to provide medical services to patients - collect and document data, conduct diagnostic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations, and provide direct patient care services.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

APRN

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Master's Degree in Nursing

Current and valid Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas

APRN License (PMHNP - Psychiatry Specialty)

National Certification as an APRN

PA

Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies

Physician Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Arkansas Medical Board

Physician Assistant Certificate by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

Both

Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Psychiatry inpatient experience

Current BLS
