The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with the psychiatrist and other members of the inpatient care team to provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, provide patient and family education, prepare medical records, and plan for the patient's discharge/transition to the next level of care.
