Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status, including evaluating their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health and psychiatric needs.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care practices.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in psychiatric care.
Create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
Provide support and guidance to patients and their families during difficult times.
Collaborate with community resources to ensure patients receive appropriate follow-up care after discharge.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall improvement of patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
Attend departmental meetings and participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
