Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop treatment plans.
Prescribe and monitor medication and provide medication management.
Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Provide counseling and therapy to patients with mental health disorders.
Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the practice of psychiatry.
Keep up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of mental health.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and coordinate treatment plans.
Collaborate with community resources and refer patients to appropriate services as needed.
Provide support and guidance to patients and their families during difficult times.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Act as an advocate for patients and their mental health needs.
Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of care provided.
Serve as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals.
Meet productivity and performance standards set by the organization.
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization.
Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Maintain a compassionate and patient-centered approach in all interactions with patients and their families.
