We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our integrated, multidisciplinary team. The PMHNP will be responsible for providing a full range of psychiatric services to individuals across the lifespan (children, adolescents, and adults) in an outpatient setting. This role requires a clinician who values clinical autonomy while collaborating with social workers, therapists, and medical providers to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.

Caritas Care Solutions is hiring for this PMHNP position. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners play a critical role in addressing the growing demand for mental health services across the United States. This employer is actively seeking qualified candidates to join their team.
Formulate differential diagnoses of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders based on clinical findings and relevant medical history.
•Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, outcome-based treatment plans that may include a combination of psychopharmacology and therapeutic interventions.
•Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications in compliance with Kentucky and federal regulations, assessing therapeutic response and monitoring side effects.
•Provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or motivational interviewing.
•Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, address complex needs, and ensure continuity of care within our integrated model.
•Provide crisis intervention and stabilization in situations requiring immediate psychological attention.
•Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, and health promotion/illness prevention.
•Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic health records (EHR) documentation in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and payor rules/regulations.
•Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development/trainings.
•Supervise therapeutic rehabilitation programs.
Qualifications and Requirements
•Education: Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from a nationally accredited PMHNP program.
•Licensure:
•Current, unencumbered Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license or a current RN multistate (compact) license.
•Current Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
•Certification: Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC™) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent.
•Experience:
•Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred, with community-based experience a plus.
•Experience working with a variety of age groups (children, adolescents, and adults) is desired.
•Skills:
•Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•Exceptional communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills to build trusting therapeutic relationships.
•Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
•Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and standard computer applications.
