Opportunity: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
This is an ongoing part time contractor opportunity with the potential to convert to permanent down the road or expand hours. The incoming PMHNP will assume an expanding caseload as a senior psychiatrist prepares for retirement, creating a strong pathway for long-term stability and professional growth within the practice.
The provider will work within a Monday–Friday schedule between 10:00 AM and 6:00/7:00 PM, beginning with approximately 15 hours per week and the opportunity to increase hours based on fit and patient demand. The role involves treating an adult and adolescent population (ages 13+), with an approximate distribution of 80% adults and 20% adolescents. Responsibilities include medication management with the option to incorporate therapy services. Initial evaluations are 60 minutes, with 20-minute follow-up visits. Visits can be made longer if needed at provider discretion.
The practice maintains an established patient panel of approximately 350–400 registered patients and offers a high level of clinical and administrative support. The role is primarily in-person, with hybrid flexibility during inclement weather. Providers may also have the option to work across additional locations if desired. An on-site interview in Sturbridge is required, and the estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 120 days.
The ideal candidate is an experienced PMHNP with a strong background in adult and adolescent psychiatry and demonstrated comfort managing medication and coordinating therapy in a private practice setting. Prior experience in similar environments is strongly preferred.
The practice offers a competitive compensation, with long-term direct hire potential and a stable, growing patient base.
