Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursing Director to lead our nursing team and oversee all clinical operations within our healthcare facility. This pivotal role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional resident care. The Nursing Director will champion a culture of excellence, safety, and compassion while maintaining operational efficiency. Responsibilities

•Provide strategic leadership and supervision for nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct care providers, ensuring high-quality resident care.

•Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to residents' individual needs, incorporating best practices in assisted living, nursing home care, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings.

•Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations such as Medicare, HIPAA privacy standards, and state licensing requirements.

•Manage medical records and documentation review processes using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.

•Supervise shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained across all shifts while optimizing resource utilization.

•Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident services, including MDS assessments (Minimum Data Set), medication management, and care plan updates.

•Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on enhancing resident safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes through continuous review of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and documentation practices.

Experience

•Proven management experience in a healthcare setting such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health agencies.

•Demonstrated supervising experience with nursing staff or nurse management roles.

•Extensive knowledge of nursing administration principles combined with hands-on experience in acute care or hospice environments.

•Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical records management and documentation review processes.

•Strong understanding of Medicare regulations, care planning procedures, HIPAA compliance, medical terminology, and medical records documentation standards.

•Background in physiology and anatomy to support accurate clinical assessments and resident care planning.
