Provide acute mental health care to patients in the psychiatric emergency department setting.
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients in crisis.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop an integrated approach to patient care.
Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
Utilize evidence-based practices to provide the highest quality of care to patients.
Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
Stay current on advancements in psychiatric care and incorporate new techniques into practice.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Provide support and guidance to nursing staff and other team members.
Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of care provided to patients.
