The Psych NP ( PMHNP-BC) will provide medical services to clients within a residential and detox setting. The Psych NP ( PMHNP-BC) works as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care, focusing on substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and general medical needs.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive physical exams, health assessments, and medical histories on clients upon admission and during treatment.Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, including withdrawal symptoms and co-occurring medical issues.Prescribe medications in accordance with federal and state guidelines, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) protocols when applicable.Monitor the progress of clients during detox and residential treatment, modifying treatment plans as necessary.Collaborate with NPs, therapists, nurses, and support staff to coordinate care.Provide health education and support to clients regarding medication, disease prevention, and overall wellness.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care or referrals.Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, and ongoing training.Qualifications:Current and unrestricted Psych NP ( PMHNP-BC) license in the state of WI.DEA license with ability to prescribe controlled substances.Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or primary care.CPR/BLS certification required.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Schedule & Compensation:Part-time; schedule may include evenings and/or weekends based on program needs.Competitive hourly rate; compensation based on experience.
