Boulder Care is looking for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) who are aligned with harm reduction principles and have experience prescribing buprenorphine-based medications for opioid use disorder in an outpatient setting.

Reside in one of the following states: AK, AZ, CO, FL, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, VA, WA, WY
Have an active NP license + PMHNP certification in your state of residency
Have at least 1 year of experience regularly prescribing buprenorphine-based medications in an independent outpatient setting as a core part of your daily practice
Are interested in part-time work between 4 and 25 hours per week, with a minimum shift length of 4 hours
Are available for at least one recurring weekday evening shift (5pm to 9pm Eastern / 2pm to 6pm Pacific).

About the Role
Clinicians work directly with patients to provide medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders (SUDs) and empower patients in their individual recovery journeys as a member of Boulder’s multidisciplinary care team.
This is a high-impact, patient-facing role, which involves delivering compassionate and evidence-based care through telehealth. Care is provided largely through standard audio-visual connection but also includes occasional audio/telephone visits and a small volume of text-based communications. Clinical work is assisted by Boulder clinical decision support tools within our custom EHR, staff education, and real-time support from colleagues and clinical leadership.

Requirements for the Role
Dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet to ensure HIPAA compliance
Cannot have previously been a patient at Boulder Care
Part-Time Schedule Expectations
Part-time clinicians typically work between 4 and 25 hours per week
Each clinician maintains one recurring weekly anchor shift, typically a weekday evening from 5pm to 9pm Eastern (2pm to 6pm Pacific)
All shifts are a minimum of 4 hours
Part-time clinicians may maintain a consistent, set schedule of recurring hours or flex their schedule up or down week over week based on business need and personal availability
Part-time clinicians have the option to transition to full-time roles when positions become available and alignment exists
