The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is an advanced practice nursing provider working in a school setting (Anne Arundel County Public School System) to render care to varying student populations. Their work includes evaluation, assessment, and diagnosis; prescribing and establishment of care plan; ongoing treatment and therapy; and internal collaboration to render the highest level of patient care, and will be able to make a comprehensive impact on the students.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis
•Prescribing and implement treatment in accordance with diagnosis and standards
•Establish care plans in collaboration with internal and external clinicians, administrative staff, and leadership to various student populations
•Ordering tests to monitor patient status as needed
•Attend weekly team meetings as required
•Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
•Other related duties as assigned
