Key Responsibilities:
•Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in an inpatient setting.
•Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, and more.
•Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans.
•Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
•Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists, to ensure holistic care.
•Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and mental health management.
•Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with regulatory standards.
•Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
•Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
•Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Jersey, CDS, and DEA.
•Board certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP-BC).
•Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
•Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts as needed.
