Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Full Time

Richmond Creative Counseling, LLC is seeking a fully licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary private practice in Richmond, VA. This role provides outpatient psychiatric care to adolescents and adults, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, supportive counseling, and collaborative treatment planning with our robust team of therapists and psychiatric providers.

Position Details
•Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive counseling, and care coordination.

Richmond Creative Counseling, LLC is hiring for this PMHNP position. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners play a critical role in addressing the growing demand for mental health services across the United States. This employer is actively seeking qualified candidates to join their team.
•Coverage support from PMHNP colleagues when out of office; willingness to rotate coverage is required.
•EMR: Valant (with e-prescribing & portal).
Requirements
•Licensed in Virginia as a PMHNP.
•Current ANCC certification.
•Master’s degree or higher from a PMHNP program.
•Prescriptive authority in Virginia.
•Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment-planning proficiency.
•Excellent communication and documentation skills.
•Ability to interpret clinical data and respond appropriately to psychiatric emergencies.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in psychiatric/mental health settings (including co-occurring disorders, SUD, ED, etc.).
•Must be LGBTQ-affirming and racially/culturally competent.
•Must provide a collaborating MD if full practice autonomy has not been obtained.
•Established private practice experience strongly preferred.
•Must have completed MSN and passed the board examination (we cannot consider pre-licensed or soon-to-graduate candidates).
