Description

The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is a Registered Nurse with a master’s degree specializing in psychiatric-mental health care across the lifespan. As an interdependent member of the NALFPC health care team, you will collaborate with other health professionals to provide comprehensive mental health services. The PMHNP will develop advanced assessment skills to perform screenings, physical exams, and episodic assessments, ultimately formulating diagnoses and referring for primary medical care when necessary. This role encompasses advanced knowledge and clinical skills in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment, including the prescriptive practice of psychotropic medications, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management.
