This position is for a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in Berlin, NJ with a NJ license, CDS, and DEA. 100% on-site - 8 hours outpatient on Mondays and 32 hours partial hospitalization program on Tuesdays - Fridays.
An integral member of the healthcare team, coordinates patient care and communicates and collaborates extensively with the other members of the healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family/guardian.
Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
Provides patient and family education relative to nursing/medical and clinical services.
Consults with medical specialists associated with patient’s current treatment and/or treatment history.
Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment to patients admitted to the program.
Perform nursing histories and physical assessments.

Provide medication evaluations and management in collaboration with the program’s Medical Director/Psychiatrist.
Administer medication to patients as prescribed.
Annual certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system.
