Apex Behavioral Health is an outpatient mental health program providing Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) services. Our mission is to offer high-quality, compassionate care to adults experiencing mental health challenges.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APN/PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team 1 day per week. This role is focused on psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients in our outpatient mental health programs.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct psychiatric assessments and medication management sessions
•Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to support patient care
•Maintain accurate and timely documentation per state and federal requirements
•Provide patient education on medications and treatment plans
Qualifications:
•Licensed in New Jersey as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/APN) or Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience
•Prior experience in mental health settings preferred
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Compensation:
•$80 – $150 per hour, depending on experience and degree
