Position Overview
The Prescribing Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services, including health assessments, medication management, and the development of personalized treatment plans, to clients within Virtue Health and Wellness, LLC's behavioral health programs in Maryland. This role is vital in ensuring continuity of care and integrating physical and mental health services.
● Conduct thorough health assessments for individuals served, identifying physical and mental health needs.
● Develop and recommend personalized treatment plans that complement existing mental health care strategies.
● Provide follow-up care after hospitalizations to ensure continuity and stability in clients’ treatment plans.
● Prescribe and manage medications in alignment with clients’ mental health treatment plans.
● Collaborate with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals to integrate physical health care with mental health services.
● Participate in regular meetings to review client progress, update treatment plans, and ensure adherence to program standards.
● Educate clients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care practices.
● Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
● Uphold and promote Virtue Health and Wellness, LLC’s mission, vision, and philosophical values in all aspects of nursing practice.
● Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
● Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a focus on psychiatric/mental health.
● Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Maryland.
● Preferred of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting.
● Prescriptive authority and experience in medication management.
● Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and integrated care.
● Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
