Our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is critical in providing high-quality, comprehensive mental health services to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care, with a commitment to holistic, patient-centered approaches in treating mental health conditions.
- **Patient Care**: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing management for patients with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health issues.
- **Medication Management**: Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects, and making adjustments as necessary.
- **Therapeutic Interventions**: Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques for individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care providers, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
- **Education and Advocacy**: Provide education to patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options. Advocate for patients within the healthcare system and the broader community.
- **Compliance and Documentation**: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and FQHC regulations and standards.
