Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Outpatient (Child/Adolescent), FQHC – Waterbury, CT

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Psychiatric/Mental Health-NP - FQHC is seeking an experienced child|adolescent psychiatric nurse practitioner for a part-time (24 Hours a week) opportunity in Waterbury, CT.

The child|adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team treating children and adolescents.

Appointments are scheduled and there are walk-ins. Most common types of child diagnoses: ADHD, behavioral disorders (aggression, etc.), depression, anxiety, and school refusal. Ages will be 3-21, though the majority will be 5-18

Appointments are either evaluations (60 minutes) or medication management (30 minutes). Documentation is completed electronically concurrent in session (NextGen). Other staff include Medical Director, front desk staff, medical assistants.

Qualifications: Licensed RN and Licensed APRN in the State of CT. Active DEA controlled substance registration and an active CT controlled substance license. Must be Board Certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and have experience working with child| adolescent patient population
