Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Behavioral Health

GetWell Healthsystems is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Behavioral Health or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Psychiatry to join our Behavioral Health team. This provider will deliver high-quality psychiatric care in an outpatient setting, working closely with therapists, case managers, and clinical leadership to ensure comprehensive mental health treatment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
•Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
•Diagnose psychiatric disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
•Prescribe and manage medications, including ongoing monitoring, dosage adjustments, and side-effect evaluation.
•Provide medication management follow-up appointments.
•Order, review, and interpret laboratory workup or diagnostic tests as clinically indicated.
•Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, and behavioral health staff.
•Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and wellness strategies.
•Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
•Participate in case discussions, treatment planning, and clinical quality initiatives.
•Maintain compliance with state practice laws, prescribing regulations, and professional standards.
Qualifications – Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
•Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization.
•Active RN and APRN licenses in Indiana or Kentucky (depending on worksite).
•National certification as PMHNP-BC.
•DEA registration or eligibility.
•Experience in outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health strongly preferred.
Qualifications – Physician Assistant (Psychiatry)
•Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
•Active PA license in Indiana or Kentucky.
•National PA certification.
•Clinical experience in psychiatry or mental health highly preferred.
•DEA registration or eligibility.
