General Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing medication management, group and individual psychotherapy, and ongoing consultation with other team members within the following programs: Child Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse.

Carries out duties in accordance with the Compliance Program, which requires that all services be provided in compliance with all state and federal laws governing our operations and be consistent with high standards of business and professional ethics.

Job Responsibilities

a responsible for 24 hours of billable service per 40 hour week after 30 days of employment.

Provide medication management to Agency clients in assigned programs under the

supervision of the Medical Director or designee.

contact notes, daily time sheets, managed care authorizations, discharge summaries and all others as needed.

Educational leave must be approved by your supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing) Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist program recognized by the State of Vermont Board of Nursing.

State license or license eligible with prescriptive privileges.

Licenses/Certification Required: License to Practice in the State of Vermont by the Board of Nursing or ability to obtain a VT license.
