Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for diverse patient populations. Responsibilities

•Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients across various age groups, including children, adults, and seniors.

•Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes while managing potential side effects.

•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care, including behavioral health, primary care, and specialty services such as gastroenterology or neurology when necessary.

•Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication adherence, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience.

•Stay current with advancements in psychopharmacology, trauma-informed care, and emerging treatment modalities.

Requirements

•Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in psychiatric-mental health nursing (PMHNP).

•Proven experience working with behavioral health populations in outpatient or inpatient settings.

•Strong knowledge of clinical research methodologies, diagnostic evaluation, and medication management protocols.

•Experience in acute care environments complex medicine is highly desirable.

•Ability to perform physical examinations, mental status assessments, and vital signs accurately.
