About the position

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments in Nursing (PMHNP) (Clinical). Successful applicants may teach up to seven (7) semester credit hours within the required discipline online as dictated by student demand, hold office hours, and assist students as needed. This position requires face-to-face interactions and/or virtual online meetings through a regular schedule of attendance on campus.

Responsibilities

•Teach up to seven semester credit hours in Nursing (PMHNP) (Clinical) online as dictated by student demand.

•Hold office hours to assist students as needed.

•Conduct face-to-face interactions and/or virtual online meetings on a regular schedule.

Requirements

•Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

•An unencumbered, unrestricted nursing license in the State of Texas.

•Advanced practice nurses (APRN) must meet and maintain all certification requirements for their specialty.

•PMHNP certificate must meet and maintain all certification requirements for their specialty.

•Currently living in the State of Texas.

•Ability to travel to Laredo, TX.

Nice-to-haves

•Two or more years of clinical teaching experience, including experience precepting PMHNP students.
