Advanced Practice Provider - Psychiatry

MUSC Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our esteemed Psychiatry team. Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and interventions.

Collaborate with physicians and other mental health professionals to develop comprehensive and individualized care plans for patients.

Monitor and manage medication regimens for patients, including prescribing and adjusting medications as needed.

Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups.

Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and interventions.

Adhere to all legal and ethical standards and guidelines in the provision of mental health care.

Stay current on developments and advancements in the field of psychiatry through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Serve as a resource and mentor for other staff members, including nurses and support staff.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes collaboration, teamwork, and excellent patient care.
