Dual Board–Certified Psychiatric Mental Health NP / Family Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/FNP)

Location: In or near the Orange County area

Salary: $ $105.00 / hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dual board–certified PMHNP/FNP to join our team. This role is ideal for a provider passionate about integrated care, mental health, and substance use disorder treatment within a community health setting. The position includes a mix of clinic-based and mobile clinic work, serving diverse and underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide comprehensive psychiatric and primary care services across the lifespan.

•Assess, diagnose, and manage mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

•Conduct medication management, including psychotropic medications and MAT (as applicable).

•Provide primary care services consistent with FNP scope of practice.

•Deliver care in both brick-and-mortar clinic settings and mobile clinic environments.

•Collaborate closely with physicians, behavioral health clinicians, case managers, social workers, and community outreach staff.

•Perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.

•Provide patient education on mental health, substance use, chronic disease management, and preventive care.

•Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.

•Participate in outreach efforts, care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

•Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

•Dual board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

•Current NP licensure and prescriptive authority in California

•Experience in psychiatric care and substance use disorder treatment.

•Comfort working with underserved, diverse, and high-acuity populations.

•Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

•Willingness and ability to work in both clinic and mobile clinic settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience in community health centers, FQHCs, or mobile health programs.

•MAT waiver or experience providing medication-assisted treatment.

•Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish or other community-relevant languages).

•Experience with trauma-informed care and harm reduction models.
