What You’ll DoAs a Nurse Practitioner with Comprehensive Care, you will:Provide both urgent and chronic care to patients in correctional facilities or emergency shelter homes.Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and mental health evaluations.Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations.Perform outpatient procedures such as skin biopsies, laceration repair, splinting/casting, and more.Prescribe and manage medications in alignment with agency protocols.Educate and counsel patients on prevention, wellness, and long-term health.Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and mental health professionals. QualificationsMust have urgent care experience (sutures, drainage, & incision)Current California RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification.Valid NP Furnishing Number and DEA license.Current BLS (AHA or equivalent).Board certification (for NP II level) in Family Practice, Adult/Geriatric, Pediatrics, or Psychiatric Mental Health.One year of NP experience preferred for NP II; new graduates may qualify for NP I. Special RequirementsAbility to work in a correctional or juvenile facility environment.Must pass a background check and maintain security clearance.Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
