Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Up to $100/hr

Per Diem, Mercer County, NJ

The Arc Mercer's health services (for people with special needs in Greater Mercer County) are provided by experienced physicians, psychiatrists, registered nursing staff, and licensed counselors.

Who We Need:

We are looking for a Per Diem Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our clinical team to work with individuals with developmental disabilities in our healthcare center located in Ewing, NJ.

What We Need:

•Provide direct clinical services to clients through one on one sessions.

•Collaborative with the psychiatrist to provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medication, order laboratory tests, and provide patient education.

•Create a treatment plan specially tailored to the client utilizing a variety of techniques and medications.

•Collaborate with a team of providers to evaluate all contributing psychiatric factors toward the condition of the clients.

•Measure progress and effectiveness of treatment and adjust as needed.

•Ensure accurate documentation of sessions.

•Provide medication management for clients on medication and intermittent reassessment.

What You Need:

•A Nurse Practitioners Master's degree with focus on psychiatric nursing.

•NJ State APN (Advanced Practice Nurse) License

•Experience with patient with special needs and developmental disabilities is preferred.

•Med Management, Psycho Therapy, and Intake

•The ability to plan, organize, prioritize daily tasks and work with minimal supervision.

•The ability to express oneself clearly and concisely both orally and written.

•Credential with Medicare/Horizon NJ Health/Horizon BCBS is desirable.

•Incident to billing experience.
