We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to join our stabilization unit team in Newark, New Jersey. This role is ideal for clinicians who thrive in high‑acuity psychiatric environments and are committed to delivering exceptional crisis‑focused care.
Compensation & Benefits
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and comprehensive risk assessments (suicide, violence, withdrawal, etc.).
Develop and implement crisis stabilization treatment plans tailored to immediate patient needs.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including initiation, titration, and monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
Perform crisis intervention and de‑escalation using trauma‑informed methodologies.
Order and interpret labs, screenings, and diagnostic tests as clinically indicated.
Provide short‑term therapy, psychoeducation, and supportive counseling.
Focus exclusively on stabilizing patients—no long‑term caseload.
Active NJ Nurse Practitioner License
Board Certification (BC)
MUST have experience working in high‑acuity psychiatric settings.
Preferred: Background in crisis stabilization and detox environments.
Active BLS & DEA
Credentialing assistance may be available
Working Hours: AM: 7:00am – 7:30pm
PM: 7:00pm – 7:30am
