PMHNP - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Inpatient Geriatric job at Korzen Health. Columbia, SC.

Korzen Health is working with one of the largest healthcare systems in the area. Location is Moberly MO.

We are currently hiring a PMHNP for an inpatient facility. Come join a growing department as they expand more services.

•Work within a 20 bed geriatric psychiatric unit (census 14 patients)

•Medical management of patients within inpatient unit 1 weekend/week of rounding and call 1x week.

•MF 5 days/week 4 days/week may be available

•Geriatric patient population

Responsibilities

•Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess clients mental health status medication needs and treatment goals.

•Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists social workers and medical staff to develop individualized treatment plans.

•Prescribe and manage medication for clients with a focus on minimizing side effects and monitoring for drug interactions.

•Provide medication education to clients and family members to ensure proper compliance and understanding.

•Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress treatment adjustments and ongoing care.

•Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with state and federal regulations.

•Stay uptodate on best practices new research and medications related to psychiatric and behavioral health care.
