Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for inpatient populations.
•Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
•Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
•Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
•Provide psychoeducation to patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
•Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
•Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
•Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
•Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Jersey, CDS, and DEA.
•Board certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP-BC) required.
•Previous inpatient psychiatric care experience preferred.
•Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
•Flexibility to work on a part-time or per diem basis with varying shifts.
Schedule:
•Part-time or per diem position with flexible scheduling based on availability.
•Weekend, evening, and holiday shifts may be required.
