UNMH Psychiatric department is seeking a flexible and adaptable Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their dynamic team. This role involves floating across various adult and pediatric clinics, providing panel management and urgent care coverage. The PMHNP will function as an advanced practice nurse in Behavioral Health, focusing on patient care, education, and research to improve patient outcomes.
•Floating among various clinics in Adults and Peds
•Some panel management and some urgent care coverage
•Behavioral Health department
•Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups
•Work as a team member with medical/nursing/counseling staff
Responsibilities
•Assess, diagnose, develop, and implement treatment plans; follow-up and evaluate patients within the scope of practice protocols.
•Prescribe and distribute all drugs, including controlled substances.
•Perform patient history and physical exams as needed for procedures or admissions; document findings.
•Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
•Provide accurate documentation of patient care, orders, directives, procedures, and patient responses in the medical record.
•Provide education for patients and/or families about preventative care, medical issues, and prescribed medical treatment.
•Work as a team member with medical/nursing/counseling staff to provide comprehensive care and promote continuity of care.
•Guide, teach, support, and serve as a clinical resource for nursing and medical staff, and precept students.
Compensation
•Pay Rate $51.73 - $80.11 Hourly
•Sign-on Bonus
•Relocation Reimbursement available

Requirements
•Education: Program Graduate
•Education specialization: Advanced Nurse or Clinical Nurse Spec
•Experience: 1 year psychiatric experience
•Credentials: CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
•Credentials: NM Advanced Practice Nurse License (CNP, CNS, CRNA)
•Credentials: ACLS or PALS (as applicable) within 30 days of hire
