About the position

are seeking a part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

to support our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Stroudsburg, PA.

Shift: 10 hours/week (onsite)

Earn \$70.00/hour

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is part of a multidisciplinary team that

provides comprehensive mental health care to patients living with chronic mental

illness. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with our

care team to diagnose and manage patients' mental health concerns. The

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide services in the community.

Responsibilities

•Conducting psychiatric patient evaluations to determine medication needs, documenting evaluations and interactions with the patient in the electronic health record.

•Prescribing pharmacologic therapies including controlled substances, monitoring progress and making necessary changes to patients' medications.

•Facilitating direct patient admissions into hospitals when needed.

•Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to develop coordinated treatment plans.

Requirements

•Certified Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP with prescriptive authority.

•Minimum one year of experience in community mental health

•Licensed in State of Pennsylvania.

•Valid Child Abuse, State Criminal and FBI Fingerprint clearances.

•Master’s degree in nursing with a focus on psychiatric-mental health.

•Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.

•Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.

Nice-to-haves

•Experience with integrated health preferred.

•Experience in crisis intervention, urgent care, or emergency psychiatric settings is preferred.
