Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Hometown Health Center (HHC) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our integrated care team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical behavioral health services to individuals across the lifespan in a supportive, community-based setting. Full-time or part-time options are available.

About the Role
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides direct psychiatric care, including evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment to individuals with a wide range of mental health conditions. While this role supports patients across the lifespan, we are specifically seeking a provider with a strong interest and experience in adult mental health care to complement our pediatric-focused PMHNP.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments Develop individualized treatment and medication plans Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with current best practices Collaborate with behavioral health providers, primary care clinicians and support staff to ensure coordinated care Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans as needed Maintain accurate, timely and confidential documentation Provide crisis intervention and consultation as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Maine Active DEA license with authority to prescribe Schedule II–V substances CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
