UFJPI is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider III (APP III) to deliver direct patient care in Florida and/or Georgia, operating within their defined scope of practice under physician supervision. This role involves providing subspecialty care in outpatient and/or inpatient settings, potentially including procedures, consults, and work in the NICU. The APP III will leverage advanced subspecialty knowledge to manage complex patient cases and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. This is an engaging opportunity for a skilled APP to contribute to comprehensive patient health management.
•Collaborates with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical professionals for patient management
Responsibilities
•Provide timely and appropriate referrals to patients in need of further medical care and services.
•Respond to consults, schedule procedures, and handle discharge planning, as appropriate.
•Educate and counsel patients/families regarding their health care, including routine health maintenance.
•Perform or assist with procedures of higher complexity in clinic or inpatient unit.
•Monitor and manage invasive and/or medical devices and placement of devices within scope of practice.
•Formulate comprehensive health management plans for high acuity, more complex patients in collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical professionals.
•Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations and/or diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests for patients with high level of complexity.
•Review, prescribe and/or recommend medications and treatments to patients.
Shift & Schedule
•Call coverage may be required specific to departmental needs
Requirements
•High School Diploma or GED required
•Masters Nurse Practitioner required or Masters Physician Assistant program required
•Advanced Practice Registered Nurse(APRN) Licensure required at time of hire
•Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in State of Florida/Georgia required at time of hire
•Certification in Specialty/Sub Specialty required by Specialty Department
•Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified required
•Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
•Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
