About the Job
The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing general medical or psychological care and treatment to patients, under the direction of a physician according to scope of practice guidelines. Performs history, physical examinations, and preventive health measures or initial psychological exams, admissions and discharges on assigned patients; provides consultation and liaison throughout the hospital facility; performs daily rounds on patients as directed by the supervising physician; prescribes medications; provides clinical assessments and diagnosis; and individual, group, and family therapy. Works collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners.
