About the position
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role at Crozer Health's Community-Based Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic focuses on providing high-quality, trauma-informed, and patient-centered psychiatric care to a diverse population. The clinic aims to expand its services to underserved communities, treating various mental health conditions across all age groups. The PMHNP will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose, develop treatment plans, and manage medications, while also participating in educational activities to enhance clinical skills.
Provide psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and medication management in collaboration with the unit medical director or their designee.
•Offer empathetic support to clients and families, including education and counseling on medication usage and alternatives.
•Function as a proactive team player in a fast-paced outpatient environment, ensuring high-quality care for clients.
•Participate in educational and mentorship activities to further enhance clinical skills.
•Maintain accurate and timely client records in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as clinic policies and procedures.
Requirements
•Pennsylvania state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
•Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) through an accredited organization (e.g., ANCC).
•Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
