Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic support to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders.
· Conduct psychiatric evaluations and comprehensive mental health assessments for adolescent and adult clients.
· Diagnose psychiatric and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.
· Develop and implement individualized treatment and medication plans.
· Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in compliance with Wisconsin state law and clinical guidelines.
· Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and medical professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
· Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to clients.
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
· Submits billing documentation, as required by referral and funding sources, in the agency Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
· Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.
· Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, medications, and treatment strategies.
· Completes program-related documentation and ensures submission of reports in a timely manner and as requested.

· Collaborate with program management, referral sources, and other professionals to fulfill contract expectations.
· Ensures mitigation of risk through risk management analysis and corrective action initiatives.
· Participates in weekly meetings and individual supervision with program staff as required.
· Adheres to St. Charles Youth & Family Services Policy & Procedures.
· All other duties as assigned.
· Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner/Prescriber (APNP or as a Psychiatrist (M.D., D.O.).
· National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), or other NP certification with behavioral health experience.
· Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited program.
· Active DEA registration with authority to prescribe controlled substances in Wisconsin.
· Current BLS/CPR certification.
· 1–2 years of experience in behavioral health or psychiatric care preferred.
· Supervisory or leadership experience highly preferred.
· Proficiency in computer programs and applications
· Knowledge of DSM equivalent version at time of hire as used within the field at the time.
· Knowledge of associated licensing/statute and contract requirements for provided services.
· Knowledge of mental health or AODA community resources and services supports.
· Ability to display cultural competence and sensitivity to the populations we service by responding respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, socioeconomic characteristics, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions, and other diversity factors.
· Proficiency with formal report writing.
· Ability to interpret assessment, psychosocial, psychiatric and psychological evaluations and assessments of children, adolescents and adults, family systems and subsystems; to work effectively with behavioral, emotional and learning disorders of children and adolescents and become familiar with current diagnostic testing and criteria for psychiatric disorders.
· Competent & able to provide accurate clinical psychiatric diagnoses and treatment.
· Knowledgeable of culturally responsive and trauma-informed care approaches.
· Proficient in EHR and digital communication tools.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
· Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
· Indoor environment to include in-office, telehealth, and community settings.
· Flexible schedule, some evenings required based on program and/or patient needs.
· Local travel as required fulfilling essential functions of the position.
