We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and therapeutic interventions across diverse patient populations, including adults, geriatrics, and individuals with complex behavioral health needs.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience and demonstrate expertise across treatment modalities, including psychopharmacology, behavioral health, and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities
•Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including history taking, mental status examinations, diagnostic formulation, and treatment planning
•Provide ongoing medication management, including prescribing, monitoring effectiveness, managing side effects, and adjusting treatment plans as clinically indicated
•Deliver brief therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, and skills-based coaching to support patient goals and symptom management
•Participate in and support ADHD evaluations and treatment in accordance with clinic protocols
•Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans incorporating medication, therapy, lifestyle interventions, and referrals as appropriate
•Monitor patient progress using standardized screening tools and clinical outcomes to guide treatment decisions
•Assess suicide risk, safety concerns, and clinical acuity; implement safety planning and coordinate higher levels of care when needed
•Provide care via in-office visits and telehealth in compliance with Florida regulations and clinic policies
•Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in the electronic health record while ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
•Collaborate with clinic leadership and interdisciplinary partners to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
•Stay current with evidence-based psychiatric practices, licensing requirements, and continuing education expectations
•Maintain current knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate medical records and billing processes.
Skills

•Perform or support ADHD evaluations and testing (per clinic process).

•Assess risk, triage urgent concerns, coordinate higher level of care when clinically indicated.
•Maintain timely, accurate documentation; protect confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and clinic policies.
•Collaborate with the practice team and follow Florida requirements and clinic protocols for advanced practice care.
•Excellent communication skills for outpatient clinics. This position is integral to delivering high-quality mental health services with a comprehensive approach in behavioral health expertise. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to compassionate patient care while maintaining adherence to clinical protocols and healthcare regulations.
•Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing follow-up visits (in person and telehealth).
•Provide medication management, monitoring response, side effects, and safety; adjust treatment as needed.
•Provide individual therapy and coaching (brief therapy, coping strategies, skills-based support) as appropriate.
