Equilibrium is a boutique neuromodulation clinic in Southlake, TX dedicated to advanced brain health. We specialize in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for patients with treatment-resistant mental illness and neurodegenerative conditions — serving patients ages 12 to 80.
We offer accelerated TMS protocols condensed into 1–5 days with multiple sessions per day, giving patients the ability to complete treatment on a schedule that fits their life — without months of weekly appointments.
Founded by a former TMS patient whose recovery inspired this venture, Equilibrium operates with a Harvard-affiliated medical director providing clinical oversight. The Role
We are seeking a Texas-licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team two days per week, compensated at a competitive daily rate. This role is intentionally designed to complement an existing practice — NP involvement is focused and time-bounded, typically a few hours per day, fitting alongside your outside patient schedule. NPs are welcome to see their own existing patients at our facility on TMS treatment days, making this one of the most flexible part-time clinical arrangements available in DFW.
Responsibilities
- Perform cortical mapping for accelerated TMS treatments
- Conduct initial consultations for patients pursuing TMS therapy
- Provide follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress and clinical outcomes
- Administer and review standardized clinical assessments (PHQ-9, GAD-7, MADRS, Y-BOCS, PCL-5)
- Collaborate with our TMS technician and medical director on individualized treatment protocols
- Support patient education around accelerated TMS — scheduling, session frequency, and what to expect
- Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation
Ideal Candidate
Required:
- Active Texas NP license
- Prescriptive authority (DEA registration preferred)
- Experience working with patients with mood disorders, treatment-resistant depression, OCD, PTSD, or related conditions
- Strong clinical communication and patient relationship skills
Strongly Preferred:
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) board certification
- Prior TMS experience or strong interest in neuromodulation
- Familiarity with accelerated TMS protocols
- Comfort with a cash-pay model (no insurance billing required of NP)
- Entrepreneurial mindset — collaborative, adaptable, excited by a growing clinic

About Our Model
Equilibrium is a cash-pay practice specializing in accelerated TMS — protocols condensed into 1–5 days with multiple sessions per day. Patients are offered payment plans and CareCredit financing, and we provide superbills for insurance self-submission. This means minimal administrative burden for our clinical team and maximum focus on patient care.
