If you are a PMHNP student seeking a comprehensive, supportive, and mission-driven clinical training experience, apply to complete your preceptorship with us!What You'll Do:As a PMHNP student at BHN, you will gain hands-on clinical experience under the supervision of experienced psychiatric providers. You will apply your academic knowledge in real-world settings, develop advanced clinical skills, and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care.Key Responsibilities:Participate in Clinical Rotations: Work alongside licensed PMHNPs and psychiatrists to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.Apply Evidence-Based Practice: Integrate classroom learning into clinical care, utilizing best practices in psychiatric assessment, medication management, and therapeutic interventions.Engage in Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Attend team meetings, case conferences, and collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other health professionals.Document Clinical Encounters: Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record, co-signed by your preceptor, in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.Receive Supervision and Feedback: Participate in regular supervision sessions, accept constructive feedback, and engage in self-reflection to foster professional growth.Develop Professional Competencies: Demonstrate ethical practice, cultural competence, and compassionate care in all patient interactions.Set and Achieve Learning Goals: Work with your preceptor to identify individual learning objectives and track your progress throughout the rotation.Participate in Orientation: Attend orientation sessions to become familiar with BHN's clinical sites, policies, and procedures.Maintain Professionalism: Uphold BHN's standards for conduct, confidentiality, and patient safety at all times.What We Offer:Tuition Reimbursement - Up to $100k!!Career Advancement - Extensive weekly clinical supervision and mentorshipFlexible Scheduling - Designed to support your academic commitments and work/life balanceMonthly CEU Opportunities tailored to your interests and program requirementsDiverse Clinical Experience - Work with patients across the lifespan in a variety of settingsSupportive Learning Environment - Join a team committed to your success and professional developmentWho You Are:Currently enrolled in an accredited PMHNP (APRN) program (required)Strong foundation in psychiatric nursing and behavioral health careExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsCommitted to culturally responsive, patient-centered careValid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel locally (required)Must be at least 21 years oldWe Hire for Purpose!Since 1938, BHN has been dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable, and culturally responsive behavioral health care across Western Massachusetts.
