Exciting opportunity for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work providing psycho-pharmacology services on the Urgent Care team in a community health center
APRN will be involved in direct patient care including evaluations and follow up treatment. APRN will also participate in consultation with primary care providers and other behavioral health clinicians that are co-located on the Urgent Care team. APRN will also be involved in the development of team based work flows and development of team based interventions.
Experienced with out-patient and after care of mental health patients; addiction medicine / substance abuse experience; specific knowledge of prescribing psychiatric medications and their possible side effects alone, and with other medications; knowledge of DSM IV manual for classification of mental disorders and dual diagnosis experience.
