•Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations, intake evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards.
•Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, medication management, and evidence-based interventions such as psychopharmacology and botulinum toxin treatment when appropriate.
•Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, ensuring safe administration and adherence to HIPAA regulations and state laws governing Nurse Practitioners.
•Provide crisis intervention, triage services, and acute care management for patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies or behavioral health crises.
•Collaborate with physicians, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care across outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospital settings including Level I Trauma Centers or ICU environments.
•Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks, maintaining meticulous medical records in compliance with healthcare standards.
•Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and community resources to promote ongoing wellness and recovery.
